Red Mill Village presents Concerts on the Green

NEXT CONCERT AUGUST 29. Thorndike Development’s Red Mill Village rolled out the grass welcome mat yesterday, powering up its first “Concert on the Green”. Over 150 homeowners and guests were welcomed to enjoy the raucus Freewheelin’, a blue-grass band rich with talent and good humor.

Many Red Mill Village residents attended with their families and the Green was alive with activity. Children, grandchildren and a few enthusiastic adults twirled and danced with balloons in hand to the beat of the music. One guest brought his own fiddle and joined in with the band for some impromptu bluegrass jams.

Gretchen Buitta, Red Mill Village Sales Manager was delighted. “Seeing some of the residents sitting on their front porches, swaying to the music and watching all the activity was a thrill for all of us. This was a real demonstration of the concept of the Traditional Neighborhood Design, which centers the homes around a common green to be enjoyed as in days gone by. It was great.”

“Welcome” and “community” go hand in hand, so please join the Red Mill Village gang for some fun and relaxation. The next Concert on the Green at Red Mill Village will be on August 29th, from 7 to 9 p.m. Music will be provided by Jah Spirit, a band that has been nominated three times for Boston’s Music Award for “Best Reggae Band”. Admission is free and light refreshments will be available. Red Mill Village welcomes you to bring a chair or blanket, wear your dreadlocks and enjoy a cool summer evening full of great music.
