Red Mill Village is now open to people ages 50-55. On Tuesday, August 10th, RMV homeowners voted overwhelming to approve an amendment to the Master Deed to change the minimum age to 50 years old from 55, while retaining the strict prohibition against children under 18. This lowering of the minimum age in active adult communities is a trend in the current real estate market.
The voting sentiment seemed to be that this exciting change would be good for everyone—buyers, current residents and Thorndike Development. According to Trustee Bill Parvey, “We are pleased that this amendment has passed as we believe it to be in the best interest of our community…Feel free to tell your friends and other contacts about this change. After all, the main intent of the amendment is to broaden the market for Red Mill Village homes -- now and in the future -- for Thorndike and for all of us.”
So, if you were holding out for that next birthday, (o r 2, 3 or 4!) to reach 55, it is time to light the candles early!

Active Homeowners at Red Mill Village
Red Mill Village is an "active adult community" and that is certainly being proved time and again by the homeowners living here! And most of the fun is taking place in the great outdoors.
The warm summer temperatures have sparked a slew of activities at our 55+ development in Norton, MA. Informal, spontaneous, Friday evening get-togethers have been well attended. Behind the Meeting House on the blue stone patio overlooking our bountiful Victory Gardens, the neighbors have been gathering weekly to mingle and to socialize with one another. Also, dining al fresco, the "Pot Luck Supper On The Green" has been a comfortable opportunity to utilize our beautiful common grounds where neighbors and their guests have gathered to share in good food and good fun.

Market Picking Up?
We just signed P&S agreement to build a new style
home at Red Mill Village. We will be constructing a Rockport which has a great center fireplace/country kitchen feature. And, this home will be built on the last lot on our beautiful Village Green, right next to the Essex Model.

Red Mill Village Rocks and Rolls!
Summer is hot but so are the good times for the “active adults” at Red Mill Village condominium community. For the fourth year in a row, the Concert on the Green series is taking place on the Village Green. Perennial favorites, The Corvairs, will be performing on Thursday, July 8th at 6:30pm. This party is open to the public especially if you bring your vintage Corvair and park around the Green. The concert will be feature oldies from the 50’s, 60’s and maybe, the 70’s, tapping into those rockin’ times. So if Buddy Holly and Roy Orbison still click with, stop on by Red Mill Village this coming Thursday night! Sponsored by Thorndike Development.
